(About)
Flowerhaus worked with the artist Jacob Kirkegaard and Museum Sønderjylland to bring the exhibition Mellem Rum to life in the halls of Kunstmuseet i Tønder.
We consulted on, designed and built six sound installations, and made a film about the exhibition. Each work is described further down the page.
(Melt)
Recordings of ice melting in Greenland, from ice caps grinding against each other to trickling water. 40 minutes, 12 speakers, red light and haze. Jacob Kirkegaard, 2016.

(Animal)
Video work made for Kunstmuseet i Tønder. The sound of the wild boar fence on the border between Denmark and Germany, recorded with vibration sensors in strong wind, set to video of stuffed wild boars. Jacob Kirkegaard, 2020.

(Membrane)
A sound and visual portrait of the border wall between Mexico and the U.S., recorded with vibration sensors on the wall itself from El Paso to Tijuana. 37 minutes. Jacob Kirkegaard, 2020.

(Opus Mors (4))
Four listening spaces for the time right after death: an autopsy, the decomposition, a morgue and a cremation. An immersive and intimate sound work about one of the natural facts of being alive.
