For its new collection exhibition, Eksperimenternes tid, Dansk modernisme, Museum Sønderjylland gave the floor to people from Sønderjylland, young and old, instead of the experts.

In Mød kunsten, eight participants meet the works one by one, with their first thoughts and associations. In Mød hinanden, two generations meet a work together and a conversation begins. The films are shown next to the works in the exhibition.

It is easy enough to say a whole lot of clever things about art, artists, trends and techniques, about movement, movements and historical periods, if you have read, studied and practised exactly that kind of thing. But very few of our guests have. […] Here we skip the intellectualising and go straight to the physical meeting between the guest, the object and the story.
