  • (About)

SPEKTRUM began with a processional song from Florence in the 1300s and a wish to break with the classical concert. Three musicians from the Royal Danish Academy of Music wanted the audience to be part of the work, and we joined early on as producer, concept maker and visual artist.

The result was one total design. The first note was sung in the crowded entrance hall, the audience followed the musicians through the corridors, and in the Christ Hall they lay down on the floor between Thorvaldsen's sculptures, under a ceiling that had become one large projection.

(The procession)

It starts with one voice in the entrance hall. The violin and the trumpet wait
in the small rooms along the corridor and join as the audience walks by.

(The Christ Hall)

Here the vault is the canvas. The audience lies on cushions on the floor,
and the musicians step back for the music, the light and the room.

(The projection)

Water, fire, moon and sun. The images follow the music from a restless
and broken beginning to a calm ending.

The graphics for the museum and for social media are made from the same images as the projection.
